Citizenship Ceremonies
The City is proud to welcome those who choose to take up Australian Citizenship.
To apply for Australian Citizenship you can either download an application form from the Department of Immigration and Citizenship website at www.immi.gov.au or call them on 131880.
Applications must be lodged at the Department of Immigration and Citizenship.
Public Citizenship Ceremonies will be held on the following dates:
- January 26 2009
- May 7 2009
- September 10 2009

Premier's Active Citizenship Australia Day Awards
The Premier's Active Citizenship Australia Day Awards are presented each year to individuals and groups who make an outstanding contribution to the community through their inspiring actions and dedicated service.
The Awards are presented in the following four categories:
- Premier's Australia Day Active Citizenship Award for a person 25 years or over
- Premier's Australia Day Active Citizenship Award for a person under 25 years
- Premier's Australia Day Active Citizenship Award for a community group or event
- Environmental Contribution of the Year Award
