Demolition Licences
A demolition licence is required prior to the demolition of a building or part of a building.
In order to obtain a demolition licence applicants are required to:
- Complete a demolition licence application - form 3 (PDF 35kB)
- Submit a site plan with the application showing the location of all structures
on the block, and what is to be demolished - Obtain the signature of all owners (applications involving strata developments
require the signature of the strata director/secretary) - Pay a demolition fee of $50 per building, per storey
- Pay a refundable $400 Security Bond
- Pay a $110 Footpath and Kerb Security Fee
- Provide a rat baiting certificate or prove that the property has been appropriately baited
Formal clearance from Department of Consumer and Employment Protection - Worksafe is required for some commercial buildings.
