From Churchman Brook Dam and the blooms of Araluen Botanic Park to its sweeping views of the Darling Scarp, the City is renowned for its natural beauty. Our promotional DVD highlights some of our natural treasures as well as some of the important strategic projects that have shaped Armadale.

The Champion Lakes international rowing course, the establishment of an Australian Technical College in the City centre and the new residential suburbs of Piara Waters and Harrisdale have seen Council’s long term vision become a reality.

We lobbied successive governments for the extension of the Tonkin Highway and fought for the establishment of a redevelopment authority that would focus on the revitalisation of Armadale. As we watch the City’s transformation into a truly regional centre we have begun to see the results of many years of hard work.

The City of Armadale is experiencing rapid growth. It is currently home to 55,000 people. Latest projections show a further 40,000 people will move here in the next 15 years. Armadale has continued to enjoy record levels of development activity during the last 12 months and has largely bucked the falling property prices trend. Our City centre has become an attractive and vibrant shopping and entertainment precinct thanks to the $200 million upgrade and expansion of Armadale Shopping City and Armadale Central Shopping Centre.
